Jamie Kasper laughs with two educators as they use a Makey Makey controller to make music on a laptop.Congratulations Jamie Kasper

Please join the Arts Education Collaborative team in congratulating Jamie Kasper, who has accepted the position of director at Arts Education Partnership in DC. In this new role, Jamie will be focusing on arts education policy at the national level. While we are certainly sad to see her go, we are excited for her as she embarks upon this new adventure. We also look forward to continuing to work with Jamie in her new capacity. Jamie‘s last day with AEC will be Friday, October 18th.

Jamie has worked at Arts Education Collaborative for nine years in the associate director and director of programs roles. School districts in our region have benefited from her deep expertise in music pedagogy, school systems, the National Core Arts Standards, and more. She recently led our effort to learn more as a staff about culturally relevant arts education (CRAE) and then translated that learning into a reinvigorated Leadership Academy program that weaves together leadership, action planning, and CRAE. We are all grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from and with her. Her thoughtful attention to educators’ needs, program delivery, and staff cohesion is remarkable and will be missed.

Thank you, Jamie, for all you’ve done for AEC, our field, and learners throughout the region!
