AEC Seeks Professional Learning Facilitators

Are you an arts educator looking to support K–12 arts programs? AEC has a long history of bringing in experts to support our work in school districts. We’re currently seeking arts educators with experience in the National Core Arts Standards, curriculum writing, and/or student assessment development who are working in creative learning, dance, media arts, music, theatre arts, visual art, or another creative discipline. Those interested should have availability to work occasionally with AEC staff during school hours between September and June.

Interested arts educators will:

  • Attend a 3-hour training session with AEC staff about AEC’s approach to curriculum and student assessment (refreshments provided)
  • Shadow AEC staff as we facilitate curriculum or student assessment development during school hours
  • Submit a written reflection during a debrief with staff immediately following the facilitation

Educators will receive a stipend of $50/hr for their participation. After the training and shadowing sessions, AEC staff will determine what project(s) may be a good fit for new arts educators ready to help us facilitate this work. If you’re a forward-thinking arts educator looking for an opportunity to build your capacity, let us know!

Please direct inquiries to Yael Silk, executive director of AEC, to find out more.
