AEC is hiring! We’re looking for a manager of operations who will oversee the day-to-day operations of AEC and support our mission of making the arts central to learning. Our next manager of operations will be responsible for serving as a contact to vendors and the Controller’s Office, Advancement and Community Engagement, Human Resources, and IT departments of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh (CMP). They will order supplies, maintain equipment, and guide our day-to-day operations as well as developing, monitoring, and reporting on operating, grant, and special project budgets. In addition, the manager of operations will assist the executive director with calendar, communications, travel, and other administrative support.
We’re seeking someone who has at least a high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and two or more years of experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial management. In addition to nonprofit accounting skills and close attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively as an AEC team member and interface with a variety of our constituents is a must. The next manager of operations will also support AEC’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience with Microsoft Office products, financial/project management software, and a willingness to learn new digital platforms are critical. We’d especially like to hear from candidates with a demonstrated interest in the arts and arts education.
For more information or to apply, check out the posting on the Carnegie Museums jobs page. Candidates must complete the CMP application form and submit a résumé and a letter highlighting accounting, budgeting, or financial management experience to be considered. Successful candidates will need to obtain PA Act 153 clearances as a condition of continued employment.
