The Arts Education Collaborative, located in Western Pennsylvania, works to achieve its mission through professional development programs, advocacy projects, and collaborative initiatives among artists, arts organizations, and educators. We engage teachers, administrators, artists, cultural organizations, and parents in strengthening quality arts education throughout a region that is known for its cultural and educational richness.

2010 Professional Development Survey
Every two years, the AEC conducts research to discover the needs and interests of arts educators in the region by conducting a survey on professional development. As the AEC continues to serve arts educators throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, we look to educators to know what the areas of need and interest are in ongoing professional development. STEAM Education Grant Application for School Districts
The Grable Foundation and The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation have developed the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ARTS, and Mathematics) Education Grant to assist school districts located in Intermediate Units #1 and #3 in forging new and creative connections with one or more community organizations or institutions of higher education to integrate arts and technology across academic disciplines.
